Antioch Branch Grand Opening!

9/27/2010

As you may already be aware, The Tennessee Credit Union has been preparing to open a student-run Credit Union branch inside Antioch High School. Ten students spent the summer interning at the Main Branch in Nashville.

The Antioch branch celebrated its official opening with a ribbon-cutting held today and attended by school district and credit union officials, as well as the staff and students from The Tennessee Credit Union Academy of Business and Finance. The ceremony was a collaboration of work performed by the entire school. The Academy of Technology and Communication assisted with artwork and designs around the credit union, while The Academy of Business & Hospitality helped with the overall organization of the day’s events including catering refreshments.

The purpose of the academies are to prepare Nashville students for college and career, to provide relevant, rigorous, and engaging coursework and to help students explore various careers, learn critical 21st century skills and graduate from high school better prepared for college, career and life.

We are looking forward to a successful partnership with Antioch High School.
