Backpack Program Update

As we reported previously, our Cookeville Branch is participating in the Backpack Program for kids and will be a drop off location for donated (kid-friendly) food. The program seeks to feed needy children of all ages (pre-schoolers through high school) who rely on school breakfast and lunch, but may not have enough food on weekends or school breaks.

Today is the first pick up day for food and thanks to our amazing Cookeville community, we've collected 218 pounds of food so far! There's still time to get involved. They will be collecting food through Feb 29 at the Cookeville Branch located at 1281 South Walnut Ave. Cookeville, TN 38501. For a detailed list of recommended foods click here.
