The Tennessee Credit Union offers special accounts for minors.  Members under the age of 18 will receive a special newsletter appropriate to their age group upon opening an account.  Minor accounts are automatically exempt from check cashing and inactivity fees.

Scottie Savers

Scottie Savers is a program specially designed for Credit Union members up to age 12.  When you open a Share Account for your child (aged 12 or under), your child is automatically enrolled in Scottie Savers.  With a balance of $250, the Scottie Savers Account earns dividends on the average daily balance, compounded quarterly.  With parental approval, a Scottie Saver can have an ATM card to access funds.

Top Ten Club

A basic savings account, called a Share Account, automatically makes a teen a Top Ten member!  Top Ten members are eligible for the following benefits:

ATM Access
With your parents as cosigners, you can be issued an ATM card to access your basic savings account from any STAR® or CIRRUS® machine.

Share Certificates
You can save for your college education or any major goal with a Share Certificate. With a minimum deposit of $500 you'll earn higher dividends—at a rate guaranteed for the term of the certificate.

Money Management
As a member of the Top Ten Club, you not only save money but also learn to manage it. The Tennessee Credit Union can provide Club members with materials explaining how to write a check, how to balance an account, how to establish and maintain good credit, and how to purchase an automobile. You’ll earn while you learn to manage your savings.
