Debit Cards

The Clear Card® allows you to debit your checking anywhere in the world that MasterCard® is accepted. It can also be used to access your Credit Union accounts 24 hours a day.

Using The Clear Card® gives you account access at virtually any ATM, anywhere in the world. The Clear Card is also a MasterDebit and can be used to debit your checking account, not only at ATMs, but also at any merchant that accepts MasterCard. There is no charge for The Clear Card and there are usually no charges or fees when you use it as a debit card with a merchant.

The Clear Card transactions from checking are free at The Tennessee Credit Union REFLEX® ATMs. At all CIRRUS® and STAR® ATMs, you can make two withdrawals from checking and one withdrawal from savings each month with no charge from TTCU. After that, it’s one dollar per transaction. The nationwide CO-OP ATM Network and the CU Service Centers Network, as well as the statewide MoneyTower Network, provide members with no-surcharge access at thousands of machines throughout the U.S. These are located at convenience stores, restaurants and discount department stores.

Privileged Assurance

With our busy lives, it’s easy to make mistakes such as forgetting to deposit a check, make a transfer, or deduct your last debit charge from your balance. A simple error or balance miscalculation can lead to an unexpected shortage of funds. The Tennessee Credit Union may have the solution you’re looking for with our Privileged Assurance program.

Privileged Assurance is not a line of credit.  However, if you inadvertently overdraw your account, we will have the discretion to pay the overdraft, subject to your Privileged Assurance.
Fees may be imposed for overdrafts created by check, ACH, Point-of-Sale, ATM withdrawals and in-person withdrawals.

Go to Privileged Assurance Details

The Tennessee Credit Union will not pay overdrafts for ATM or everyday debit card transactions unless you have given your consent by opting in to the payment of these overdrafts.

Other great alternatives are tying your checking account to a designated savings or money market account, a personal line of credit, or a home equity line of credit. TTCU does not charge fees for the set-up, maintenance, or use of any of these Overdraft Protection solutions.
