29 TTCU Academy Students achieve CUNA Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor designations

An unprecedented 29 students at The Tennessee Academy of Business and Business at Antioch High School (Tennessee) are now CUNA Certified Credit Union Financial Counselors. We congratulate the hard work and dedication of these young people on this exceptional success, not typically attained by high school students. The Tennessee Credit Union recognizes and applauds the new CCUFCs:

Billy, Casey, Chase, Christina, Cynthia, Daniel, Demua, Jahnae, JaNea’, Jeremiah, Kristeen, Luis, Maikel, Markeith, Marlin, Merna, Myia, Nancy, Njomza, Nnadozie, Oscar, Rafiael, Ramy, Secret, Shamara, Tanner, Tsion,

After studying 8 modules and taking 8 exams, Certified Financial Counselor certificates were presented to the students at an awards ceremony at Antioch High School.  With 100% of the students achieving certification, Metro Nashville Public Schools is very pleased and proud as we at TTCU are.  TTCU has added our own commemoration plaque (pictured here) to the Antioch High School TTCU Branch Wall of Fame.

As CUNA Certified Financial Counselors, the students acquired real-world financial counseling skills and financial counseling knowledge for every interaction, including budgeting, saving, credit report reviews, debt reduction and planning for the future.

In order to be certified as a Financial Counselor, individuals must complete the CUNA Financial Counseling Certification Program to earn the designation of Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC). The CCUFC designation requires recertification every three years to ensure that the knowledge about financial counseling is current.

TTCU also salutes Antioch's High School's teacher-supervisor of the program – Ms. Homer, a true transformation leader. Thank you for working with the students and making the certification process a great success. These students are uniquely talented, hard working and will surely achieve whatever they set out in life to accomplish.

We are so proud of you!
