TTCU team participates in ‘Making Strides against Breast Cancer’ Walk
The 2016 Making Strides Walk was held in Nashville on Saturday, October 22. Close to 30,000 breast cancer fighters descended on Nissan Stadium and Downtown Nashville to take part in the American Cancer Society walk and to show their support for this cause. The event helped to raise more than $850,000!
Wearing special T-Shirts with the imprint “Becky’s Bunch,” TTCU participants walked the 4-mile route in remembrance of our colleague, Becky Cook, who lost her battle with cancer last year.
Although the morning started out chilly, the sun soon came out to warm up the crowd. There was a lot of energy, music, dancing and booths. One booth offered stamps of pink for hair and beards! There were groups cheering and motivating the walkers, people singing, and bands playing. Note the picture of the bridge (below). It was amazing…so many people creating a sea of pink crossing the bridge. It was a great day in support of a great cause.
We expect to have more TTCU employees participate next year.
